Many people are unclear about what it really costs to buy a home. Fortunately, the total expenses of this purchase can be broken down into two categories: upfront expenses and cash to close, both of which we’ll break down for you today.

The upfront (or out-of-pocket) expenses include your earnest money deposit, appraisal fees, and inspection fees.
